j . WELLINGTON, January 8. I The reciprocal Customs treaty between South Africa and_ New Zealand has been ' gazetted. It provides that duties on goods, J the produce or manufacture of New Zealand, imported into the South African colonies (Cape Colony, Natal, Orangia, Transvaal, and Southern Rhdoesia) shall be : Bran, Is; flour, 2s 3d; oats, Is 10d ; wheat, Is per cental ; butter, 2d per lb : cheese, 12 per cent, ad valorem ; meat 6, Id per lb ; all other goods except spirits, 25 per cent, less than the duty which would otherwise be paid. The duties on goods, produce < or manufacture of the South African ! colonies, imported into New Zealand shall < be : Feathers, 15 per cent, ad valorem ; j 1 fish, l^d per lb; fruits, dried and green, i
free : maize, 6<l : sugar, te ?d p<«r cental : tob.-.cco, manufactured, 2s bd per It ; tea. not othr>rwi?e exempt. Id per ib ; wines other than sparkling, 2s pc«- gallon ; wines, sparkling, 5s per pallon ; all othei* goods except spirits. 25 per cci X. less than tlduty which would otherwise bo paid.
