Circus opened its tent la-si; Monday, and concludes to-morrow. When the tents are folded up the circus will trave> to the West Coast of the South Island. Big takings resulted here. "Ihe Cingalee" had as successful a season at the Opera House as "The Orchid, ' despite the very hot weather. The next change of the J. C. Williamson Royal Comic Opera Company will be a revival of "The Country Giri" tc-morrow night ; and next week, when the season cloeea (Thursday), we are to have "La Mascotte," and for the final night a miscellaneous concert. From Wellington the company goe9 north. Fuller's Entertainers continue to attract » better than fair share of patronage at the Theatre Royal. We are sorry to lose Mr Gil Hoskina, who is to take charge of the Dimedin biifeiness while Mr Johnny Fuller goes Home. West's Pictures and the Brescians a-re still in season at the Town Hall, and doing well. The Williamson firm is having a, pretty lively time this year. Just now six companies are in hand, with others to follow t All for our entertainment.
