BUTTER FREIGHTS. MELBOURNE, October 13.
The Butter Export Committee in October last entered on a three years' contract with a number of British shipping companies. It is now proposed to take advantage of the proviso of allowing for 12 months' notice being given. It is understood that the committee has information that with the increase in shipping competition and the developments expected in connection with the new mail contract it can secure equally favourable terms elsewhere, in addition to the advantage of a j •ftore regular delivery,.
