The marble is of a> pure dove colour, with white veins running through it, and is. as is shown by the piece on view, capable of taking a very high polish. The deposits are in apparently almost inexhaustible quantities, and blocks may be obtained of any size required commercially. The piece in Mr Laroomb'e possession has been subjected to the accepted tests for marble, end there is no doubti about the nature of the material.
