She beat Truce and Gold Crown, which pair were behind her on the second clay, when she gave Truce 331b and a beating in the Demonstration Handicap, seven furlongs, and appeared to be all out. Sherlock Ho.mes (The Officer— Spinney) came : out as a sprinter in the Stewards' Hack Handicap, ana beat a good field. Rosegrove, : who Is in great form at present, won the Otafci Hack Handicap on the second and conceded Devonia a stone and & beating. In the Trial Stakes Rendrock (Explosion— Stepfast) made a better showing than in the ' Maiden, and beat 10 others. Lomaria (New . Forest — Fadlien), who ran second, should soon open her winning account. Lacy showed up better in the Electric Hack Handicap, but Pytchley (St. Hippo — Chainstitch) carried too many guns for him. Roseal made a good finish with Flotilla in tho Open Welter, in which C. Jenkins scored his third win. Messrs W. H. Harfgill (judge) and T. Cameron (starter) officiated at the meeting for the first time.
