Mr D. A Drinnan lost a consignment of pressed straw, and some tarpaulins belonging to the Railway Department were also burned. Missionary Meeting.— Mr and Mrs Strange, from Victoria, who are en route for Bolivia, South America, held a meeting in the church on Wednesday evening. Mr Strange cave a very forceful address on mission work, and cave his own experience in regard to the call to the foreign field. Mrs Strange also gave a short address on the Christian's attitude towards mission work.
