Mr Manchester, the Drainage Board's newt engineer, cabled from Melbourne on Monday* stating that he will reach Dunedin nexft Monday. The Revs. T. G. Brooke and S. Lawry left on Monday for Melbourne to attend a special meeting of "the Methodist Supernumerary Fund Committee, and will be absent about three weeks. Mir C. J. . Taylor, proprietor of the Elle* mere Guardian, Leeston, who is at present visiting Dunedin, had a small cyst removed from one of his eye 9at a private hospital yesterday. He will be detained ut the institution for a. few days. A. V. Fraer, son of Mr M. Fraer.
