OAMARU GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT.

OAWARTT, Jtilj- 7. The market is lifeless, and only -a few sales hay© been recorded this week. Farmers are not offering very freely, being busy with winter ploughing, and millers appear to be well stocked. One oi two parcels of Tuscan have been sold at 3s 6d. T ess commission, and 3s 4d net has also been accepted for a good sample. Velvet is worth up to 3s 3d, but mixed paroels of velvet and Tuscan and velvet and red chaff have been taken at 3s 4d, .less commission. South Canterbury wheat, of quality not quite equal to North Otago, is on offer at up to 3s 3d, less commission, but the quantity that is being taken up is very limited. Oats attract little attention, and sales are anything but numerous. Gartons have been sold at 2s 2d and 2e 3d. and one line of Danish at 2s ljd, commission being deducted in each case. Except for those intended for local consumption, there are very few transactions in potatoes. Table Derwents are worth up to £9 10s (f.0.b.), at which price a line was placed for shipment north. Seed lots Df Up-to-Dates command £12.
