In the show race from Ashburton Mr Reeves' s Gladsome, bred by owner, from Greenwood — Dtr. Gerard No. 1—123E,1 — 123E, was first. Mr Carrufcliers's Eclipse, second, was bred by owner from a Knight cock and a Richards hen. Mesers Henderson's Forbnry Lad, third, is an unrung bird, bred by his owners. He is built in the Tight type for racing — hard in feather, nice condition. The Henderson brothers for their first attempt in a race did remarkably well, and as they purpose going in for racing next season, they will be a decided acquisi« tion to the club.
