WELLINGTON HEAT SUPPLY.
WELLINGTON, June 19. At a meeting of th' 2 Hospital TrusteM I Mr Moore, who had moved in the direction of an inquiry into the meat supply of the city, in withdrawing his motion stated that in moving as he had done he had the eatisfaction of knowing that he had been able to deal one of the great evils in New Zealand a slap in the face, and co far lii« reward had been a full measure of resentment on the part of moat companies, th« Acting-Premier (the Hon. W. Hall-Jones), and tho ehfef veterinarian. He felt sum that the- measure of reforms which must follow his disclosures wou'.d be for the benefit of the people of New Zealand, and would ultimately assure that they would get nothing but the best meat for consumption. It would also result m tho people of New Zealand setting meat at le-ser rates than the exorbitant prices novf charged.
