(Frou Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, June 22. The mine manager of the Big River mine ] reports for the week that the uprise from No. 8 level to connect the east block with No. 8 intermediate has been risen a distance of 17ft from the top of No 2 stope. The width of stone until Tuepday la?t was 4ft, and the ston« of good quality, but it then took a jump into the hanging wall side and has since pinched out. In No. 2 stope north the reef has slightly pinched, but it is still 20in thick and of good quality. In the south side of the uprise the stone in the Ftopea has pinched, and is vow only 9in wide in the back of the stope, but it is ot very good quality.
