BUTTER COMMISSION.
LONDON, June 22. The Bradford wool market ia fairly active. Forties, 19d ; forty-sixes, 20£ d; common sixties, 27£ d ; super, 28d. LONDON, June 20. Mr Coghlan (Agent-general for New South Wales), on behalf of the Agentegeneral, was examined as the final witness by the Butter Commission. He found the committee strongly in favour of a bilL Many of the members favour legislation for preventing the manipulation of butter. Mr Coghlan stated that blended butter prevented the public appreciating the real quality of Australian butter. He did not favour Ireland being exempted from the 16 per cent, moisture regulation, and advocated mixing mar- j garine with seeame oil in oidei to prevent | its sale as butter*
