DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club Committee, held on Tuesday, 19th, \v*s attended by the Hon. G. M'Lean (in th» chair), Messrs Coughlan, Ewing, Millar, Thomson, Hazlett, aaid Bullock. Apologies were received from Messrs Gow and Myers. A letter was received from the Riverton Racing Club stating that it had twice inquired into the conduct of jockeys at its Easter meeting, and found that statements made by some newspapers as regards misconduct were without foundation. The evidence of most of the officials in support of thia statement was enclosed.—lt was resolved — " That the explanation forwarded by the Riverton Club be received and accepted as satisfactory " Applications for registration as new clubs were received from the Beaumont Sports Club and Wanaka Jockey Club.—lt was resolved
that these be sent on to conference, with arecommendation tbaf. they be granted. The following dates were fixed for race meetings for next season:—Spring meeting, Octobex 10 and 13; summer, December 26 and 27; autumn, February 20, 21. 23; winter, June 1 and 3. The dates submitted by country clubs were approved with slight alterations, and ordered to be sent to the conference. ,
