George M'Donald was sentenced at the Auckland Police Court to two- months' imprisonment for obtaining money by false pretences. Chief-detective Marsaek stated that accused represented that he . was a jockey employed by Sir George Clifford, and that he had £700 in the bank, but was unable to operate m Auckland upon his substantial credit.
