REPORTS FROM WORKING DREDGES.

The return from the Paterson's Freehold 'Uo. 1 dredge for last week was 220z, and that from the No. 2 dredge 13oz lOdwt. The secretary o.f the Mystery Flat Gold Dredging Company is advised that the return fox the week is 2407- Bdwt for 127 hours' .■work.

The" secretary of the Lady Annie Company for the week is 240z Bdwt for 127 hours' dredging. The secretary of the Masterton Gold Dredging Company is advised that, owing' to a flood in the river, there will be no wash up this week. * The secretary of the Rising Sun Company \vires a return of 25<W 6dwt foi 132 hours in-edging. The secretary of the Three-mile (Greenstone Creek) Company reports a return of 21oz ldwt for 133 hours' work. The ground treated was ■reported to be very rough. DTJNBDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The height of the Molyncux River, as telegraphed on Monday morning was 10ft above the normal mark at Alexandra, and heavy rain was reported to have fallen during the r.ight. This Indicates a rise of Tin since Saturday inprning. From another source, v/e learn that h-aavy snow fell at Cardrona in the Lakes district, and this is also likely to have its effect on the 'evel of the river. Generally a good deal of heavy rain has been experienced in the back country, and th» various dredges are likely to suffer considerable interruption therefrom. Monday's share market was a slightly improved one as compared with Saturday's, and three sales were put through for the two call-overs. New Alpine Console furnished two of these at 32s 6d, and Riley's Beaches one at 3a. Golden Beds displayed an easing tendency, and Electrics had sellers alona at 295, and no buyers.
