The American visible supply of -wheat is 63,500,000 quarters. Complaints are being made about the j improper grading of Victorian butter, and retailers are returning some marked " First Grade," asserting that it is only worth 82s per cwt. The butter market is steady. Danish is unchanged ; choicest Australian, which is scarce, 965 ; unsalted, 108s ; secondaries are neglected ; New Zealand, 99s to 100s. New Zealand butter is selling readily owing to its excellent quality. There is a slow trade in cheese. New Zealand wh'te, 61s ; coloured, 655. The Bradford wool maiket is brisk, and thei'e is good inquiry, especially for crossbreds. Common sixties, 27d ; super, 27jkl ; forty-sixes, 19^d ; forties, 18id.
