EGG -LAYING COMPETITIOy. CHRISTCHURCH. April 23.
The statement for the fifty-first week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's egg-laying- competition at Lincoln College shows that 114 eggs were laid during the week— an average of three per pen, — making the total to date 30,077— an average of 791.4 per pen. The following wpr«. the best totals for the week: — H. Hawke, silver Wyandottes. 15; P. Presants, silver Wyandottes, 11; W. T5. Cowlishaw, black Orpingtons, 10 ; F. C Hack, silver Wyandottes. 10 ; E. Wilder, buff Orpingtons, 10. The best totals to date are : — H. Hawke, silver Wyandottes, 1264; J. H. Shaw, brown Leghorns, 1002; R. E. M. Evans, silver Wvandottes 986; J. Mann, white Wyandottes, 979; A. Tyree, black Orpingrtons, 923.
