The Napier Pork Racing Club was favoured with fine weather for the opening day of its autumn meeting. The attendance was large a.nd the* lacing interesting. Since the last meeting the club has procured one of Saywell's starting machines, which was worked to-day and gave great satisfaction. Other iinpiovements to tho course and appointments have also been made. Mr J.
