The weather was perlect — in fact, too bright for good shooting, and at the I 600 yards range a very tricky cross wind gave Cthe shooters some trouble, so that the scores ! were not high. The finish proved very exciting, as the Queenstown team maintained a lead until almost the last. • Captain M'Kenzie I was range officer, and got the match oS with- : out * hitch. Private "Ward (C.E.V.), as chief j scorer, carried out his duties in an efficient . and painstaking manner.
