The attendance, although not a record, was much larger than last year, about 7000 being on the grounds. One of the principal features was the parade of the entry of 370 horses, which were marched round the ring according to class, and drew forth much admiration from visitors from outside districts. The entries in all divisions show an upward tendency, the aggregate being 8293, as against 7416 last year. The features of the show are the cattle, sheep, and horse exhibits, and the equestrian competition. The last-named has assumed proportions altogether beyond former records. The judging to-day was confined principally to the smaller sections of the show. Dr Harrison (Eltham), J. H. P. Stran^ (Palmerston North), and Dr Graham (Wanganui) were the principal prize-takers in the harnesshorse seotions. In a good utility poultry show J. D.
