Mr H. Skey supplies the following abstract of weather at Dunedin for October: — Mean barometer, 39.741 in. Mean elastic force of vapour. .271 in. Mean temperature in shade, 47.7. Mean solar radiation, 100. Mean daily velocity of wind, miles. Mean amount of cloud (from 1 to 10), 7. Total rainfall, 7.178 in. Number of days on which rain fell, 17.
An exhibition of British manufactures is to be held in Alexandria and Cairo between November, 1906, and February, 1907, the intention being that its duration shall be about one month in each city. The promoters are exceedingly anxious that the various States of tho Commonwealth shall be represented at the exhibition*
