CHEISTCHUBCH GKAEST AND PRODUCE .REPORT. (Press, 14th iust.) There has- been ,s fair amount of business passing .in the .local wheat market during i, the week, a number of sales having been, made at; quotations,- among which were 2400 bushels of "Hunters and Tuscan at 33, delivered sib ihrsimill;. 1000 bushels of Hunters at 2a lid, at Addington.; 3200 bushels of Pearl and Tuscan at "2s 10d; 1600 bushels of Peajrl at 2s SJd; 450 bushels of Tuscan at 2s 9d; 1300 fcushels of Hunters at 2s 9d; and 1000 hx sluels of damaged Hunters at 2s 6*d, all at country stations. There hag also been a move- :n bats during the past few days, and an advance^ in prices ihas resulted iji -a. fc-w lines changing hands. Sales have been made up to Is lid at country stations for prime milling, but most holders are asking 2s, even for feed lines. A line of. nulling G-artons was sold at 2s Id, f.0.b., sack in, equal to Is- lOJd at a counliy station, ~a.nd • another line of 800 bushels was taken at is^lOd, also at a country station. There has been another sharp rise in -potatoes,, and up 1o £9 -10s has been paid, stocks in second hands jiow being very light. Eutter is lower by_ 13 per lb. GRAIN 7 MARKET. Wheat. — The market had' an easier feeling owing to millers having purchased their imaneddate requirements, but the recent break in the -weather has again firmed prices owing to the fear oi a 'large quantity of the growing grain becoming spoilt, " and inquiry at the pr-esent moment is good for all classes of milling. > Quotations axe: — Tuscan, 2s lOd-, 2s lid; Pearl, 2a 2s J.od; Hunters, 2s Sd, 2s 9d; whole, fowl wheat, good' inquiry, 2s Gd. Oats. — The demand is very keen, and supplies short. "Duns -and .milling oais^ axe especially, in demand; and aa high as Is lOd IhaaTfoeen- pafd, while buyers would prbbably - spring on that for extra quality.
