SHOOTING COMPETITIONS.

TRIANGULAR RIFLE MATCH. A triangular rifle match was fired at Kaitangata en Labour Day between teams from the Dunedin City Guards, Kaitangata Rifles, and the Dimedm Rifle Club. The conditions , were 11 men aside, the lowest to stand out; 1 ranges, 200, 500, and 600 yards; seven shots ! at each range. This match is an annual one, I and is always looked forward to by the visit- | ing teams. The Kaitangata Rifles' lady friends ! mustered in force, and were most assidxiorw in dispensing the bountiful supply of good things "provided. The match resulted in the Dunedin Rifle Club beating the Kaitangata 1 Rifles by 16 points and the Guards by 94 j points. The following are the scores: —
