A SPRING THOULGHT.
A whisper for this weary, restless lime, Learned in the dewy meadowlands below, When the white mist across the sunlit woods Crept, and the soft wind from the dark-green
sea Brouglit salty fragrance; when the sturdy
lamb, Competing, from the grassy bank would push His sturdy fellow ; when the vernal sward Steamed, and the tender green of willows
drooped To the cressy stream; when golden gorse3
gave Tlieir rich aroma lavishly; -when blushed The ruddy maiclen as the loutish boy Midway along the furrow stayed his team To break the purple berries from the Ledge Of spikey quick for her; when the weary man Paiised as he passed, to feel again the glow That tranced him when he touched the
tender hand. Ah! gone and mouldered long and long ago — All things toward their gerat Origin tend; As He is perfect they will perfect he In His own time. TEe lowliest nomacT, tho
