A Mc'bourne cable states that hides are firm, but prices are unaltered from last week's. The tallow market has improved 5s per ton.
We have been requested to state that an erroneous impression is current respecting the extent of tho purchase of the Onehunga ironworks plant that has been made by Mr M'Larty, on behalf of the Transvaal Iron and Steel Company, from the Otago Iron Rolling Mills Company, Buinside.
