REPORTS FROM "WORKING DREDGES.
The secretary of the Taniwha Company fyires a return of Boz 12dwt for last week. The return from the Paterson's Freehold No. 1 dredge last week was 28oz lOdwt, and that from th& No. 2 dredge 20oz sdwt. • The master of the Lady Annie dredge wires a return of 12oz 9dwt for 100 hours' work. The secretary of the Hessey's Company reports a return of 270z 15dwt for 136 hours' dredging. The \Vaikaia dredgemastoi wires having ■washed up for a return of 330z ldwt ais the result of 134 hours' work. The re-turn from the Junction Electric No. 1 dredge for the past week is 25cz, and tliat from the No. 2 dredge lOOoz lMwt. The ana-ster of tho No. 3 dredge wires having started work a,t a,n early hour on Thursday morning, and washing up on Friday for the two days' work for a return of 19oz. The master of the Blaokwa'er River dredge ■wires washing-up for a return of 640z 12dwt as the result of 126 hours' work The dredge is -now laid up for lcpairs. Tile return from tlae Bignell's Wo Town dredge last week was 12os lQawi for 82 boUTS •work. The dredgemaster wired that he was 6topped for eight hours on Monday repairing the centrifugal pump, and immediately after starting the bucket chain parted, and dredging was only resumed on "Wednesday afternoon.
The manager of the Island Block claim reports washing up for a return of 2680z 16dwt for eight weeks' work.
The return from the Alexandra Eureka dredge last week was 1760z 6dwt for 130 hours' work.
The secretary of the Molyneux Hydraulic Company wires a return of 3joz 3dwt for last
week. The dredge is now working a good wide face, and the ground has improved.
