LONDON, August 29. The quantity of wheat and our afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,255,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,600,000 quarters. The Atlantic shipments were 55",000 quarters. Stocks and shares: Banks—Australasia, *34 to £95; New South Wales, £40 10s to £41 10s; New 'Zealand, £6 5s to £6 15s; New Zealand stock, £103. Copper: Spot, £72; three months, £/l_ss. The Bank of England returns show the stock of gold coin and bullion to be £34,870,000; reserve, £25,438,000; proportion of reserve to liabilities, 46.22. These quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of jthe bulk of the shipment now on. the market.
