LADIES' GOLF CHAMPrONSHIP. NAPIER, August 21. The New Zealand Ladies' Golf Championship meeting was commenced on the Napier Club's links bo-day. Results : — First Bound. — Miss James (Wellington) beat Mrs Elgar (Wairarapa.), 9 up and 8 to play; Mrs 0. H. C&to (Napier) beat Mrs Tweed (Wellington), 3 up and 2 to play; /Mrs Sa.unders (Featherston) beat Miss Cotter (Auckland), 6 up and 5 to play.
