TIMARU GRAIN MARKET.
Wheat. — The general tone of the market is quiet, and little or 110 business- is doing. There is a good demand for fowl wheat, aoid although there is a fair quantity in the district the growers are not anxious to sell, and fowl wheat is rather difficult to obtain. Values for milling wheat ere: — Tuscan 2s lOd, velvet 2s 9d, red chaff 2s 9d per bushel f.0.b., sacks extra ; fowl wheat 2s 9d f.0.b., sacks in. Oats. — The scarcity of oats is becoming more apparent every day, and farmers who still hold are asking prices above the ruling values.
