MEETING OF CREDITORS.
A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of John Luck engine-driver, late of Crcmwell, now of Waikaiia, was called Jot the 27th ult., but lapsed' for want of a quorum. Mr F. Z. Moore appeared for the bankrupt. Bankrupt's statement showed that he was in a solvent position until March, 1903, when ho met with. aD accident by which lie lost the sight of one eye and sustained damage to the jotter. While in the hospital he was attacked by a paralytic stroke, which unfitted him for following his occupation as an engineer.* Failing to get compensation for injuries at the Compensation Court, he was compelled to sell all his property, and was left -without means of support. He had been able to earn a Jittle since his accident as a labourer, and a few waaks since he went to Waiiraka and obtained work on a dredge at £2 Ss per week. Bankrupt further stated that he had a wife and two children, and that his earnings were all required for his own f-nd Jkeir support. The reason for filing was presEure by one creditor.
