SALE OF PRIZE STOCK.
ATessrs Stronach, Morris, and Co. report Laving- sold at the winter show on Saturday, 17th inst., on account of Mr W. Kirkland (Middlemarch) his pen of first prize ho-ggets. The same pen secured the society^s champion prize for the best pen of hoggets in the show. They were offered by auction, and were passed in to Mr John Tough's (Milton) bid of 295, but were immediately afterwards taken by him at the reserve (30s). at which price they should prove a prcfHab'e investment under Mr Tough's capable management. A word of praise is due to Mr Kirkland's manager for the way in which he had his stock put before the judges. The hoggets were greatly admired by all visitors.
