Wheat. — The market, which firmed up some days ago, seems to have receded to its former position, and dtaing the- past week little business Las been done. The Nawaru took a considerable quantity of wheat for the London n'arket, but fr.nniers are still hoklipg for tho 15s freight A few sales have taken pla-ce at trices equal to —Tuscan 3s, Velvet 2s lid, Ec>d chaff 2s lOd to 2s lid pet bushel f.o.b. Timaru, sacks extra. Oats. — The scarcity of this class of grain is every day becoming more apparent, and the few growers who still hold are asking high prices, and in some cases are finding buyeis. Values are — Duns 2s f.0.b., G-artons B grade Is 3d f.0.b., Danish B grade Is Sd f.0.b., sacks extra an each case. Barley. — A fey/ sales have been recorded, but price varies according to qiiality. Potatoes. — The market remains unchanged 1 .
