Robbitskins. — Large catalogues were sub* mitted at Monday's sale. Last week a drop of 2d to 3d per lb for winter skins in thei London market was cabled, and it was thought this would affect the local market. This, however, did not prove to be the case, as, with, the exception of off-season's skins, all on offer; realised prices fully up to late rates. Quotations: Incoming winter and winters, 14id to iShd per lb ; early autumn and autumns, B|d to 13d; summers, 6ld to 7£d ; hawked and torn, 4d to 6d ; fawns, lid to 15Jd ; summer and/ autumn blacks, 9d to 12d; winter and incoming winter blacks, 18d to 30d; horse hair, 16 l ,cl to 18d. Sheepskins. — At the sale held at the Agricultural Hall Buildings on Tuesday there was a. good attendance of buyers, and all lots offered' met with keen competition. Shippers were operating freely, and secured the bulk of the best skins offered. Prices ruling were fully, up to late rates, and in many cases exceeded! them. Quotations: Best merinos, 8d to BJcl per lb ; medium merinos, 7d to 7jd ; best halfbreds and fine halfbreds, 8d to B|d; medium and coarse crossbreds, 7Jd to BJd ; dead and inferior, 7d to 7£d. Hides. — No sales have been held since last report. Tallow and Fat. — Late rates are obtainable for all lots corning to hand. Quotations : Best rendered, 18s to 20s per cwt; medium, 14s to 17s; best fat, 14b to 15s. Grain. — Oats : Consignments coming forward are small, and many farmers are not inclined to sell at present valties, with the result that the market is very firm, although the export demand is in the meantimfe limited. Seed lines have some inquiry, while there is a good demand for milling oats, Gartons preferred. Feed lines are readily quitted at quotations. B grade quality is scarce, and prices now asked for these is id per bushel more than could be got last week. Quotations: Seed duns and Storm Kings, to 2s 3d; other seed lines, Is 9d to 2s ; prime milling, Is B^d to Is 9d ; good to best feed, Is 7d to Is 8d ; inferior and medium, Is 5d to Is 6id per bushel (sacka extra). Wheat : There is practically no change in this market. Large holders are not inclined to sell at present values, while millera are carrying fairly heavy stocks, and are not over-anxious to operate. Prime milling quality, i 3 saleable at quotations, but medium milling is without inquiry. Fowl wheat is selling in 3ina.ll lots for local consumption at late rates. Quotations: Prime milling, 3s to 3s 2d; medium, 2s lOd to 2s lid; best whole fowl wheat, 2s 8d to 2s 9d; broken and damaged, 2s 3d to 2s 7d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.— The market is not by any means well supplied. There is a good inquiry for prime Derwents, and any offering are readily sold at a flight advance on prices ruling a. week ago. Quotations: White sorts suitablefor seed, £6 10s to £7; best Derwents, £6 5s to £6 15s; other sorts, x 5 10s to £6 per ton (bags in). . Chaff.— Consignments coming forward are fairly heavy, and prime oaten sheaf is the only quality meeting with any demand. Medium and discoloured chaff is hard to quit. Quotations : Prime oaten sheaf, £2 17s 6d to £3; medium, £2 10s to £2 15s: light and discoloured, £2 to £2 73 6d per ton (bags extra). Turnips.— Market at present is in oversupply. Best swedes are selling at 12s to 12s 6d per ton (loose, ex truck). Straw. — There is a fair inquiry. Quotations:' Wheaten, 32s 6d to 355; oaten, 35s to 37s 6d per ton, pressed (ex truck).
