AUSTRALIA'S DEFENCES. LONDON, June 13.
The Morning Post, commenting on Mr Deakm's interview, says that it -would be better lor the Commornvealth to have its ovrn navy if it is the only means of producing a school of seamen able to grasp the problem of naval strategy. The paper advises the Commonwealth, without being suspected of political bus, that the existence of such a school is of the utmost importance to the Empire, inasmuch as it would be able to convince Australia that its fate depends on the co-operation of the British navy.
