LAND SALES.
The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) reports: — We offered yesterday at our sale rooms, Crawford and Vogel streets, on account of Mr J. A. Ferguson (trustee in the estate of the late Mr W. C. Ferguson). 60-acre farm on the Otago Peninsula, all good grazing and agricultural land, with first-class farm steading, fencing all in capital repair and land well watered. There was a good attendance of Peninsula farmers, and a sprinkling of speculators. Competition was not spirited. Tho highest bid not reaching the owner's reserve the property was passed in, and is now open for private sale. They also report having offered, on account of Mr W. L. Thompson (Abbots Hill, Abbotsford), his suburban residence, with seven and a-half acres good and well-improved land, orchard, vinerys, etc. Bidding not reaching vendor's idea of value, the pioperty was withdrawn from auction, and can now be dealt with privately.
