VISIT TO ENGLAND. LONDON, June 7. Jung Alfonso was presented with an address by the Lord Mayor and Council, and j took lunch with them at the Guildhall. | June 9. j King Alfonso visited the Tower and St Paul's Cathedral with King Edward. He afterwards reviewed 25,000 troops at Aldershot, and as Colonel-in-Chief of the 16th j Lancers led the regiment past King Ed- ' ward. He attended a gala "performance at Covent Garden Opera House, where Melba ! sang. i June 10. King Edward and Queen Alexandra have been invited by King Alfonso to pay a visit to Spain. King Alfonso visited numerous sights j in the morning, and inspected the great ! Premier diamond. He spent the afternoon with King Edward. He visited Frigmore and Eton, and dined at Marlborough House. He attended a state ball "at Buckingham Palace. Senor Uirutia, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, interviewed in London, said King Alfonso was charmed wiih hi& visit to two commies- — Frfuite and Great Britain, wiih i\hom they was the Ivst possible mutual relations.
