Black wins. (a) White may adopt any other method, but Block can bring up this position. (b) 9 14, or 9 6, or 10 14 here all require different tactics to meet them, but all lose. (c) 13 17 here sets up a position worth a diagram, the Black win being so fine that any, attempt at variation allows a draw. (d) Either this oi the double corner, where Black can force the necessary cut. (c) 9 13, and Black would win by 19 15, etc. (f) 9 6, 15 11, etc., Black wins.
