The weekly meeting of the O<tago Land Board, held on Wednesday, was attended by sfessrs D. Barren (Commissioner of Crown Lands), W. Dallas, G. Livingstone, and J. M> M'Kenzie
G. Bell, Secretary Ranfurly Committee, applied for the issue oi a license over the unsold lands in town of Ranfurly in the following names; — S. Hansen, R. M'l/ean, George Bell, William Dowling, and P. Kearney, jun. — Granted.
Application for rural land for cash : — Richard Dawson, eight acres of uoisurveyed land adjoining land in block 111, Fraser district, belonging to the applicant. — A-pplicant to provide sketch of the lac<3 applied for and tha consent of the pastoral lessee.
Ranger O'Neill forward report on application by R. Kirkwood fur a grazing licemse ever portion of the mining reserve in block 11, Teviot district.— Held over. Range* O'Neill reported on the application by George Oockburn fo"r a lease* over the mining reserve on Anderson's Flat, block VII, Benger district, between the road and the liver.— Yearly license granted at rent of £5 per annum. . Ranger O'Neill reported on the" application by James Murray for a license to occupy blocks XXIX and XXX, and parts of XXXIX and XL, town Of Molyn&ux.— Granted under yearly license, sections 9 to 18, block XXIX, and sections 1 to 7, block XXXIX; rent la per acre. Ranger O'Neill reported on the applicafcoai by William Ca-rrick fox a license to occupy Hooks XXIX and XXX and XV. town of ltolyneux.~Yearly license granted over sections 1 to 7, 20 to 22, block XXIX, all block XXX, and sections i to 0, block XL; font la per acre. Ranger O'Neill reported on -the following unselected sections in blodk 11, Glenoma.ru district, and suggested the nections b» re-
opened at the following capital values per acre and valuations : — Section 25, 7s 6d and £15; 3cction '28, 7s 6d and £15; section 30, 7s 6d and nil , sections 33-36, 6s and nil ; section 37, 7s 6d and £45; section 50, 7s 6d and £5; section 51, 7s 6d and £3 10s: section 52, 7s 6d and nil. — Ranger's report adopted, sections to be reoponed at tbe prices and valuation mentioned. v
R«.nger O'Neill reported on the application by Harriet Ann Heron for a license to occupy about three acres of the reserve fronting blocks IX and X, town of Roxburgh.— Granted; rent 20s per annum.
K. Karl son applied to lease sections 40, 41, and 42, subdivision of Clydevale Ferry Reserve, block 111, Waitahuna West district.— To be informed the board has now power to grant an occupation license over this land.
Ranger O'Neill reported on section 9, block VII, Eoauniont district, at present held voider occupation lease by James Stevenson, — Report adopted, section forfeited for non-oompliance with residence oondition.
Ranger O'Neill reported on the application by Michael Cahill for a- license to occupy about 25 acres of the- reserve in block 11, Benger district, formerly held under license by the Island Block Committee. — Report adopted, and yearly license granted at a rent of 25s per annum.
James Hyslop, lessee of sections 44 and 54a, Greenfield Settlement, applied to have a punt put on the river so that he might be able to properly work his section. — Application referred to district load engineer for favourable consideration.
Applications to transfer were dealt with as follows : — Lease- in perpetuity, Alfred Whitaley to John Kirkland and William Moynihan, sections 4a and 1, block I, Huinmockside district. — Approved. Lease in perpetuity, David Ross to David R. Howden, section 48, Windsor Park Settlement. — Withdrawn Lease in perpetuity, John Johnston to Robert Johnston, allotment 102, Maerewhenua Estate. — Minister recommended to approve of transfer under circumstances stated. Small glazing run, James Walsh, A. Walsh, J. D. Walsh, and E Walsh to Charles Anderson, runs 263 and 260 c. — Approved. Lease in perpetuity, Thomas Howetl to Archibald Douglas, sections 3 and 11, block XII, Maniototo district. — Held over for report from ranger. Occupation lease, John Pringle to Henry Williams, section 27, block VII, Upper Taieri district. — Approved, Lease in perpetuity, Robert H.. Kidd to Mina Ann Rudd, allotment 13, Maerewhenua Estate. — Approved. Mary Columb renewed application for exemption from residence on section 19, Janefield Settlement in the meantime. — Granted during the pleasure of the board.
