BALLOT FOR LAND
DANNEVIRKE, May 18.
The ballot for the first portion of the Tamajki blook of 1422 acres took place this morning, in ihe presence of 200 persons. There were 400 applications from 124- persons for 17 sections. The successful applicants were: — Block I: Section 1, Norman Mac Donald, Dannevirke ; section 2, Matilda Lines, Maha^ahara; section 3, Jeremiah Cullinane; section 4, Celia Ewengson, Christchuxch ; section 5, George Henry Mackay, Paimerston North ; section 6, Wei. A. Beatty, Uimituroa ; section 8, H. H. Phillips, Takapau ; section 9. Andrew Gp. Paul, Taihape ; section 10, James Meakin, Taradale*; section 15, William J. M'Leod, Taihape ; section 16, Alexander M'Lean, Tilree Point; section 17, A. O. WebVier, Oringi ; section 22, James Smith, Rala ; section 23, R. P- Houghton, Paimerston North; section 24-, X. W. Lines, Maharahara; section 25, Bartle Thomasen, Eketahuna. Block II: Section +, James O'Calligan, Pahiatua.
