Inquiber. — Foi green tomato pickles, slice one gallon tomatoes, sprinkle salt between the layers, let them stand 12 hoiirs, drain off the liquor, add four large sliced onions, and take three tablespoonfu's cloves, two quarts vinegar, 2lb treacle, and two tablespoonfuls mustard seed; let these nearly boil, add the tomatoes and onions, and let all boil 10 minutes.
