FRIDAY'S SERVICES.

On Friday the Garrison Hall was again occupied by the Salvation Army, and three great services were held, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening, and there were great gatherings of Salvationists and the public to hear the celebrated General preach. Special salvation hymns were used at all the services, and special band parts were contributed. For tho hymns Miss White, of Oamaru, played the pianoforte accompaniments. From a Salvation Army point of view, the meetings were hearty and most succosbful. At tho morning service the General preached_ from the words, '"Thy will be done," in the afternoon he used the text, ''My grace is sufficient for thee," and in the evening ho drew his lesson from tho words "Be sure your sin will find you out." General Booth left by tho first express on Saturday morning for Ohristchurch and the North, and he will leave Auckland on May 8 for Sydney.
