Hides. — Supplies are small, but prices un■changed. For tallow inquiries for local shipjnents continue. Prices are -unchanged.
SYDNEY, April 18.
The sniallness of supplies at the Homebush Stock sales has caused a strong advance in prices. Crossbred wethers sold at 27s 9d and ewes to 255. Bullocks realised up to £15 ss, 2nd 00-svs to £10. Beef, 28s per 1001b. SYDNEY, April 21. At the Homebush sales prices were slightly easier, though still very dear.
At the Milton Magistrate's Court, on the 14th inst., before Mr Cruickshank, S.M., John Keen, Fairfax, was charged, on the information of Stock-inspector Gossage, with that, on Ihe 21st day of February, he did feed one y/ig with offal, such offal not having first been boiled. Defendant was convicted, and fined 10s. together with costs (7s), and professional fee (£1 Is).
