SHRUBB AND DUFFEY IN SYDNEY.

SYDNEY, April 19. Saturday's Five-mile Eace was re-run, resulting in Shrubb winning. Time, 25mm 4 3-ssec.

April 20. Shrubb won the Five-mile Race by 40 yards. The time — 25min 4 3-ssec — is an Australasian record, as also is the time for four miles — 20min 0 2-osec.

April 22.

At the athletic meeting here in the Threemile Handicap, Shrubb, alowing Morgan 420 yds, beat him by 350 yards in 14min 54 3-ssec. In the 100 Yards Scratch Duffey beat Barker and Rowley in 10 l-ssec, but it was declared no race owing to Duffey anticipating thf» pistol. He declined to re-run the race. The 60 Yards Handicap resulted: Duffey 1, Barker 2, Rowley 3. Time, 6 2-ssec. 220 Yards Championship of New South Wales: Barker 1, Brown 2, Jones 3. Time, 21 4-ssec — an Australasian record. Shrubb won the Two-mile Handicap in 9min 44 l-ssec, beating Lynch, with 35sec start, by 200 yards.
