D.C.L. Challenge Shield. Two mi'es (present holder, W. Langdon, Ashburton). — H. 80-wley 1, A. L. Falconer 2, T. Burt 3. Time, lmin 50 3-ssec.
The first heat of the Five-mile Motor Championship was won by F. Smith on P. Sioane's 2J horse-power Sadolea. Time, Bmin 33sec. G-eorge Sutherland made his first appearance on the track since his disqualification about a year ago.
