This picture of "Ingle wood, Queen street, on the hillside facing George street north— a picturesque dwelling of the early days of Dunedin-is lent additional interest from the fact that the old house is about to place to a building of mow modern design. "Ingiewood" was built for Mr Jones, of the old-time firm of Jones Lw^]^ son, grocers, Princes street in 1852 On the dissolution of partnership, Mr and Mrs Jones went home to SS and Ingiewood" became the property of Mr Win. Johnston, solicitor. Subsequently the late Hon. CapW FrW resided in it for some years, and it was then purchased by the late Mr George Grant. The present owner is iS James Dick, of Messrs Dick and il'Kechnie.
