Notes from Reefton.
REEFTON, April 15.
The Consolidated Goldfields of New Zealand (Liaiited) report as follows on operations for the month of March, 1905 — " Golden Fleece : I'2SO tons of stone were dusked at the 20stanip null for a return of 5030z 16dwt bullion, valued at £2054 Os 7d. Thirteen tons of concentrates were produced, and &40 tons coarse sands cyanided, the latter yielding bullion valued at £289 5s 2d.
" Wealth of Nations. — Six lons of concentrates were produced, and. 650 tons of coarse sands cyanided, the latter yielding buluon valued at £392 15s 3d.
" Progress Mines of New Zealand (Limited). 5310 tons of stone were mined, transported by aerial line to the 65-stamp mill, where 5110 tons were crushed, producing 15G20z 13dwt buliion, valued at £64.988 Os sd. Ninety to^is of concentrates were chlorinated, yieldinsr bullion valued at £946 17s 9d. Two thouspnd seven hundred tons of tailing? were cvamded, yielding bullion valued at £752 14s 7d."
The Alpine Company's mine manager reports I—"The1 — "The rise was extended Bft, making the total distance IGOft. A manhole sft lias been cut out and timbered. There is 2ft Gui of stone in the rise, lmt tho main bolv is 'n the hanging wall.
