DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE.

At Saturday morning's call Ettricks were sold at what has been the sellers' quotation for some time — viz., 5s, — and Dunstan Leads also realised the sellers' price (6s 3d.) There was no business in other stocks, which were firm at late quotations. The Molyneux River remains at the sft mark.

Alpine No. 2 shares firmed, buyers offering 8s 6d and sellers asking 13s. Chieagos also firmed 6d in the selling quote, but eased slightly in the buying offer. Dunstan Leads were inquired for at 6s 3d, at which price a transaction -was recorded, but sellers advanced to 7s. Electrics fell back 6d in the selling price without tempting buyers, and a ninepenny market was recorded in Ettricks, and a shilling market in First Chances. New Fourteen-mile Beaches, with a return of HOoz Sdwt for 151 hours' work, were firm at 29s p. buyers and 31s p. sellers. Golden Runs eased a little, and Golden Treasures were on offer at 795. A shilling market was recorded in Junction Electrics. Buyers of Nev/ Roxburgh Jubilees (paids) made inquiries at 255, but the selling price was 5s above that figure. There was no material alteration in the prices of other mining stocks, and the investment stocks quoted were firm at former prices.

Business on 'Change on Monday was dull, and the number of stocks quoted at the afternoon call was not numerous. At the mornmg call a, sale of No Town Creeks was effected at 193, and this was the only sale of the day. The feature of the morning's business was the demand for investment lines, and it was noted that in this class of stock the buyers far exceeded the number of sellers. The stocks in demand were National Bank, Bank of New Zealand, National Insurance, South British Insurance, Standard Insurance Westport Coal Co., National Mortgage, Perpetual Trustees, New Zealand Drug, and NewZealand Refrigerating. In mining stocks prices were maintained at or about late quotations, but there was no strong desire to do business. The Molyneux River was at the 4ft lOin mark on Monday morning, and the weather wa.g reported as showeiy. Bignell's No Town shares firmed slightly, and Junction Electrics also showed a slight firming tendency. Muddy Creeks were °inouired for at up to 23s 6cl, but the selling

market was 3s beyond this. The buying quote for Nelson Creeks was increased to 15s without eliciting a response. New Bendigoes, after a short period of quiescence, were inquired for, and buyers of New Fourteen-mile Beaches offered 29s p. without tempting sellers. The market in No Town Creeks remained consistently firm at buyers 18s 9d and sellers 20s, and a sale at 19s indicates very fairly the market in this stock. April 17.— N0 Town Creek, 19s.
