NEW GOLDEN BEACH COMPANY.
A meeting of shareholders in the New Golden Beach Hydraulic Elevating and Dredging Company was held in the registered office of the company on Saturday evening, at which only a few of the shareholders were present. Mr James Samson (chairman of directors, who presided) stated that the breaking away of the dam and the letting of the water out of the paddock necessitated repairs ■which occupied more than a fortnight. The mortgagee, seeing no returns coming in and expenses and wages running on, sent in a demand for the immediate payment of his mortgage, and the company having no funds to- satisfy the demand, he took possession of the dredge and claim, and the company was compelled to go into liquidation. A resolution was then carried that the comnany should be wound up. and that Mr Edward Trythall be appointed liquidator.
