The Mourner and Hie Minister.
The Fulton Gazette, an. organ which represents public opinion in the town of Fulton, Kansas, gives the following account of a funeral sermon which was recently preached by a well-known minister of the town. At the end of the discourse, turning to the gentleman who had been Wfc a widower, the minister thus directed his re-marks : —
And you, my brother, I know that a great grief has overtakeT you. Though you are compelled to mourn the lo=s of this one who was your friend, companion, and partner in life, I would console with you. There are yet consolations for you. There i<; another who would seek to embrace you in the arms of unfailing love, who leally sympathises with you." At this point the bereaved, wiping his eyes somewhat suddenly, gazed into the minister's face and asked, "Who is ehe?"' The minister shook his head. "What is her name, then?" The minister brought his eloquent peroration to a close.
