Knives will take a brilliant polish if tl.ey are rubbed in powdered charcoal. Murton tallow is very good for the hantrs. A few drops of camphor in it have a healing effect. A good cure for indigestion is a full teaspoonful of glycerine in a little water, to be taken after food.
Never use any metal instrument about the teeth or you run the risk of injuring the enamel Never bite threads or cracic nuts with the teeth.
Ivory, if carefully washed with soap and a" soft brush, dried in the sunshine, and then washed again, will, unless it be very old. soon regain most ti its original whiteness. To remove warts, soak the inner rind of a lemon in vinegar for 24 hours and keep it on the wart not more than three hours. Repeat the application daily until the wart is 20110. Bedroom floors should never be washed lafer than mid-day. Windows and doors should always be left open for some time after cleansing operations are concluded, so that the boards may be as dry as possible by night-time.
